Lemon Rose Cheesecake Mousse is a decadently rich, slightly sweet, tart and aromatic creamy dreamy no bake 15-minute dessert.
Creamy and Calming
The creamy texture of the mousse and the pleasant aroma of the rose can have a calming effect on the mind and body. Rose is known for its relaxing properties and has been used in aromatherapy for centuries to reduce stress and anxiety. Our framboise rose vinaigrette, rose lemon cheesecake cups and our strawberry rose dressing is just what you need to relax at the end of a busy day.
The lemon flavor, just like our lemony lemon poke cake is bright and refreshing and complements the floral rose aroma.
Quick and Easy
Seriously simple dessert recipe that comes together in a snap and no baking or cooking is required. If you are a fan of no bake desserts, you might also like to try our cherry cheesecake in a jar with boozy cherries or our Tiramisu Cups.
We have been crazy busy just like you but we love having guests. Our solution is to make simple make ahead desserts that taste like you slaved away in the kitchen all day. Well 15 minutes of good easy work anyways…throw some flour on your face and fake how hard it was to throw together.

Sweet Ending to a Middle Eastern Feast
Our Cheesecake Mousse is the perfect ending to our Slow Roasted Moroccan Spiced Leg of Lamb meal. The light citrus and just a touch of rose water and cardamom bring these delicious ethnic flavors alive.
We served our Mousse cups with a pot of Healthy Moroccan Mint Tea. The combination of the rich creamy and the mint is heavenly.
Garnishes
We topped our Mousse with crushed pistachios and edible dried rose petals. However, you could also top with in season pomegranates as the crunch is nice and that pop of red gorgeous this time of the year.
Low Carb & Keto
We made this lemon dessert recipe low Carb, keto friendly, diabetic friendly and used a sugar alternative. If you have tried our strawberries with cream cheese filling you know you will not even miss the granulated sugar.
This recipe is also gluten-free. If you want to make this recipe vegan, swap out the heavy whipping cream for coconut whipping cream and use vegan cream cheese.
Rosewater
Have you used rosewater before? Rosewater is the steeping of roses in water with a distillation process. The aroma of roses is said to be a powerful mood enhancer. It rids you of feelings of anxiety and promotes emotional well-being, thereby making you feel more relaxed. This time of year with all the extra stress and responsibilities you need all the stress reducers you can get.
Rosewater can also be used as beauty treatment on your face and put a little on your pillow to help you sleep tight and wake up refreshed.
Where can you buy rosewater?
You can buy rosewater at Indian and Middle Eastern Provision stores or you can try stores like Trader Joe’s, Wholefoods or Health food stores or do like we did and avoid the crowds and just order it on Amazon.
Rosewater is more of an aromatic than a taste in this beautiful Lemon Rose Cheesecake Mousse. We feel the best way to gauge how much to add is to start with a teaspoon and add to your liking just until you start to smell the aroma. A little goes a very long way.
Please cover cheesecake mousse cups with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 5 days in the refrigerator.
You certainly can but the consistency of the mouse will change and may get slightly watery. Our solution to this is to eat it when it is slightly frozen like an ice cream treat.
